Essential ResponsibilitiesCreate, shoot, produce and edit compelling social-first content, including short-form and vertical video, graphics, photos and other digital assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, streaming, web and other station platforms. Collaborate with the Marketing and Community team and partners across News, Digital, Sales and other departments to develop creative that supports station brand, programming, audience growth, revenue and community initiatives. Develop creative concepts and multiplatform campaigns around major station priorities, programming, tentpole events and community initiatives. 2+ years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, video production, communications or a related field.
What you'll do
- Create, shoot, produce and edit compelling social-first content, including short-form and vertical video, graphics, photos and other digital assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, streaming, web and other station platforms.
- Manage the publishing, scheduling and optimization of marketing, promotional and community content across social media platforms.
- Capture high-quality photo and video content in the field using mobile devices and professional production equipment as appropriate.
- Write engaging, conversational and audience-focused copy in Spanish and English, tailored to the voice, format and best practices of each platform.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Community team and partners across News, Digital, Sales and other departments to develop creative that supports station brand, programming, audience growth, revenue and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with anchors and reporters to create engaging social-first content that supports station marketing and community initiatives.
- Develop creative concepts and multiplatform campaigns around major station priorities, programming, tentpole events and community initiatives.
- Identify social trends, culturally relevant moments and emerging content formats that create opportunities for Telemundo 48 to connect with new and existing audiences.
- Monitor social performance and use analytics and audience insights to optimize content and inform future creative decisions.
- Support the Digital Editorial team as needed by creating, editing and publishing social-first content around timely, trending and high-interest stories.
- Use emerging digital and AI-assisted tools, when appropriate and in accordance with company guidelines, to support ideation, creative development, production workflows and content optimization.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced content environment.
- Support station and community events, including onsite content creation and social media coverage.
- Work flexible hours, including occasional nights, weekends and holidays, as business and event needs require.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What the employer is looking for
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages, including the ability to write engaging and conversational marketing and social media copy.
- 2+ years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, video production, communications or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video and social-first content.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and emerging social platforms, including platform-specific formats and best practices.
- Experience with video editing and creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, CapCut, Canva or equivalent platforms.
- Comfortable capturing content using smartphones and other video/photo equipment.
- Experience working with social publishing tools, content management systems and digital analytics.
- College degree or equivalent professional experience
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years or older

- Must be available to work flexible hours when needed, including nights, weekends and holidays, sometimes with short notice.

- Candidates must provide a portfolio, reel or links to relevant work demonstrating experience with social media content, video production, digital creative or other multi-platform marketing work.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong understanding of Latino audiences, culture and communities in the Bay Area, with the ability to create culturally relevant and authentic content.
- Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what makes content engaging, shareable and relevant across different platforms.
- Self-starter who can take an idea from concept through execution with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and content needs can change quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and brand standards.
- Ability to identify emerging social trends and quickly translate them into relevant content opportunities.
- Experience working in television, media, entertainment, news, community engagement or a high-volume content environment is a plus.
- Experience covering live events and creating real-time social content is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative and productivity tools is a plus.
- Collaborative team player willing to support last-minute and high-priority projects when needed.
