About Our Team:Our Product Design team is reimagining what mobile entertainment can be, transforming the Peacock app into a true general entertainment platform where viewers move seamlessly between shows, movies, games, short form video, podcasts, and AI powered features. What You'll Do:Lead and grow a team of designers, providing mentorship, creative direction, and career development while building a culture of craft and accountability. Connect design work to business impact, tying creative decisions to the outcomes. Explore and champion practical ways AI can improve both the product experience and how the team works, from AI powered features for viewers to AI assisted tools that speed up the design and engineering process itself.

What you'll do

  • Lead and grow a team of designers, providing mentorship, creative direction, and career development while building a culture of craft and accountability.
  • Own end to end design strategy for the mobile experience, spanning browse, long form and short form content, games, and fandoms, with a vision for how they all cohere into a single, seamless platform.
  • Connect design work to business impact, tying creative decisions to the outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to shape a working model that keeps Design, Engineering, and Product moving in lockstep, from discovery through release.
  • Explore and champion practical ways AI can improve both the product experience and how the team works, from AI powered features for viewers to AI assisted tools that speed up the design and engineering process itself.
  • Translate loose or ambiguous problem spaces into clear frameworks, hypotheses, and design directions for your team to execute against.
  • Set and uphold production ready standards in alignment with business and design goals for both domestic and international audiences.
  • Drive alignment among stakeholders and senior leadership on research insights, design decisions, and tradeoffs.
  • Partner with Data and Research to identify actionable insights, and make sure those insights inform long term design and product strategy.
  • Manage prioritization and workload across the team, keeping features and vision moving to from concept through experimentation to customer launch.
  • Represent the design team in cross functional planning, defining requirements, scope, dependencies, and success criteria alongside PM and Engineering.
  • Maintain a critical eye and an obsessive attention to detail, both in your own work and in what you approve from your team.
  • Share findings and design direction with the broader UX org, presenting work visually and building buy in across the company.

  • You are scrappy, driven, and equally comfortable setting a big vision or rolling up your sleeves on daily output.
  • You feel most at home in a fast paced, iterative, collaborative environment, and you know how to keep a team grounded when priorities shift.
  • Degree in design, computer science, human factors, or equivalent work experience.
  • Design professional with 10 or more years of relevant work experience, including several years directly managing and developing designers.
  • Proven track record as a design leader, able to build, coach, and grow a team while directing others through the creative process.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design strategy and decisions to senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles and how to coach others in them.
  • Proven proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, Microsoft 365, and Jira.
  • Experience with UX and prototyping development, motion graphics best practices, and how AI tools fit into a modern design workflow.
  • Excellent collaborative skills with critical thinking and creative problem solving abilities.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering and Product in agile or iterative working models.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage a team, and juggle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong portfolio spanning mobile, web, and multimedia required, with demonstrated depth in mobile first design and in leading teams that shipped it.
  • Deep knowledge of iOS and Android platform conventions, patterns, and UI specifications.
  • Experience designing for accessibility and international audiences.
